Building Up To a Busy Autumn with Large Projects in Dublin, Liverpool and Waterford

A number of significant contracts won by Buttimer Engineering over the summer have led to a busy autumn period, with the company demonstrating strong demand for design, installation, fabrication and on-site specialist engineering services. 

New Dairy Process at Arrabawn Co-op Uses Buttimer Fabrication & Installation Capabilities

Buttimer have been working with Arrabawn Co-op to upgrade and increase the capacity of their existing milk processing facility in Nenagh, Co Tipperary. The scope of Buttimer’s services for Arrabawn Coop has included the specialist installation of a range of plant and vessels on-site for the creation of milk powders and associated products. The installation project began in February 2015 and is scheduled to last for three months.

Buttimer was also contracted, by a leading diary technology equipment supplier, to manufacture a large high-quality stainless steel processing vessel for the Arrabawn Co-op project, which has now been installed: see Buttimer’s Specialist Labour team lifting the unit into place in the below pictures. The specialist piece of equipment was designed by the American dairy technology company, and fabricated under licence at Buttimer Engineering’s workshop in Cahir, Co Tipperary.

Protein Processing Plant for Carnitech Installed by Buttimer Engineering

Buttimer Engineering were contracted by Carnitech Switzerland a leading supplier to food processing equipment for the installation of a state-of-the-art protein processing facility to be used by ABP Foods, near Cahir, Ireland. The scope of Buttimer's project included the mechanical installation of pipework, tanks and processing equipment. Buttimer have had a Specialist Labour team on-site for almost a year.

Mechanical Design and Installation at Girvan Distillery, Scotland for William Grant & Sons

Buttimer Engineering have been awarded a contract  by William Grant & Sons for the design, fabrication and mechanical installation of a de-watering process at their Girvan Distillery in Scotland. The project includes steel support structures and a conveying system. Buttimer's Fabrication team began work on the project with a lead time of two months, then an on-site specialist labour team spent four weeks completing installation.

The project for William Grant & Sons follows a similar project, which included the grain handling process at the Tullamore D.E.W. distillery in County Offaly, Ireland. Buttimer has in the past few years greatly expanded its design, fabrication, installation and project management services to the brewing, malting and distilling industries.

Buttimer Designs & Installs RWA System for Green Biofuels Ireland

Buttimer completed the full design, fabrication and installation of a Raw Water (RWA) process for Green Biofuels Ireland (GBI) at their facility in Newross, Co Wexford. The project began in November 2014. Buttimer Engineering are also employed by GBI for ongoing maintenance and asset maintenance services across the entire plant.
